Just like our Townie Brownie, this cake has none of the wheat, but all of the chocolate! With ingredients as unique as our Ann Arbor community, the Townie cake is made with gluten-free quinoa and amaranth flours, dark cocoa, and pieces of Nicaraguan bittersweet dark chocolate from our artisan friends at French Broad Chocolate in Asheville, North Carolina. The layers are paired with our rich vanilla Swiss buttercream. Like all our cakes, please enjoy at room temperature for ideal texture and maximum flavor. Please note, while the ingredients of the cake are wheat-free and we follow careful processes, (as well as send the cake to a lab for wheat-free testing each quarter!) it is made at the Bakehouse where we use wheat flour in other products. If your wheat or gluten intolerance is severe, it is suggested you consult with your personal physician before consuming this product.
