A marvelously light coffeehouse torte perfect for summer. It features four layers of tender, sweet honey sponge cake, lightly spiced with cinnamon, sandwiched between luscious layers of cream infused with “burnt” (i.e. caramelized) honey, sour cream, and a hint of orange zest. The Mézes Kremes has Russian origins and came to Hungary following WW2 during communist rule. Communism eventually got the boot but this tasty treat remained.
