Then we add hard red spring wheat from Michigan that’s freshly milled here at the Bakehouse, sourdough starter, sea salt, and a little local honey from Gearig Apiaries in Ithaca, Michigan. The whole loaf is rolled in sunflower seeds and sent off to the stone hearth oven, resulting in a nearly irresistible outer crust.
