What types of cakes do we make?
We make buttercream and fondant cakes. There are endless flavors of cakes, frosting and fillings combinations. Check out all the tasty possibilities.

What designs can we create?
Each cake is custom-designed to fit your every wish. We can make suggestions, show you photos of cakes, work with your fabric or paper samples or make your own vision come to life.

How much do they cost?
Pricing is based on the number of servings and the design. The price per serving ranges from $7.00 to infinity.

Do you deliver?
Our cakes do travel. We’ve been known to deliver them up to 2 hours away! Delivery charges start at $25 for Ann Arbor. Other areas start at $2.00 per mile.

How do I order?
Call us at 734.761.7255 and let us know you’re interested in a wedding cake. We’ll set up your custom cake consultation at the Bakehouse to get started planning your cake.

How many guests should I bring to my consultation?
It’s ideal to have all the decision makers there. For example, the happy couple and who ever is paying for the cake! (haha) We can best accommodate up to 4 people.

When should I order?
It’s never too early to book your cake, but about six months in advance is a good time frame. (We’ve done a few emergency cakes on a week’s notice though!)

Do you ask for a deposit?
Yes, we do ask for a 25% deposit to reserve your cake.

Can I taste the cake before I order?
We’ll serve you a couple slices to taste at your scheduled consultation and send you home with a free box of about seven sample slices. Big family? Just can’t decide? Additional sample boxes are $20 each.

Do you make cakes for special dietary needs?
With enough notice we can bake wheat free, dairy free, or egg free cakes. We do not currently have a vegan or sugar free cake to offer.

Do you make “fake” cakes?
Sorry, we do not make styrofoam cakes for display.

What about cakes for other celebrations?
We love to do custom cakes for all of your Zing’casions – showers, anniversaries, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, and more!

What other wedding services do you offer?
We also make groom’s cakes and tasty favors such as decorated cookies, custom labeled brownies, and more. For unforgettable showers, rehearsal dinners, and receptions, try Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, Zingerman’s Catering and Events or Zingerman’s Roadhouse. They both offer on-site event space or off-site catering.
