Claire et Alexandre (that’s French for “and”)

Cornman-Farms

Claire et Alexandre were Zingerman’s Cornman Farms’ last wedding couple of 2014 and they ended the season with a bang. We think that a heated tent, a beautiful setting, love, laughter and dancing, and lots of good food is a great way to spend a cool November evening.

The stage was set for an elegant, rustic wedding at the Farm with their signature chalkboard art and these precious boxed favors (who knows what’s inside?). Continuing with that feeling was the naturally decorated tent with twinkle lights and stunning floral centerpieces.

Zingerman’s Catering & Events set the table—literally—in this banquet-style arrangement. Such a clean, colorful, tasteful setting. As the garden salad looks wonderful, we can only imagine the rest of their dinner!

We love a couple that loves dessert as much as we do! Claire et Alexandre chose a full dessert bar with Zingerman’s Bakehouse pastries and cakes. We sent our pastries off to Zingerman’s Catering & Events and couldn’t be more pleased with their beautiful display of the triple trouble chocolate cookies with caramelized milk chocolate, popular black magic brownies, vanilla bean coconut macaroons, chocolate éclairs and paris brest: dreamy little strawberry cream puffs.

Bakehouse-cakes

For their cakes, our couple chose a set of rustically iced cakes, all with their own flair. The main cake was moist hummingbird cake (banana, coconut, pineapple, and pecans) with cream cheese icing filling decorated with a spray of luscious fresh flowers. Their second cake, topped with bunting was a perfect fall pairing of carrot cake with spicy ginger buttercream filling. The final cake was the decadent match of our rich buttermilk chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream filling. Iced in chocolate buttercream ruffles with a few fresh flowers made for a striking contrast. Yummy pastries and cake…could there be a more desirable looking table of food? We think not.

cake-cutting

It’s impossible not to love a couple that do things a little differently and have a blast while they’re doing it. Which is why we love these cake-cutting photos. Claire et Alexandre are obviously having the time of their lives. Congratulations from all of us at Zingerman’s!

Thank you to Jennifer Prouty for all of the gorgeous photos!
