Winter Warm Up

With several inches of snow on the ground, the Michigan winter is already off to a good start, or a bad start depending on how you look at it. If you're headed out for the day in rush hour traffic snow can be a nightmare. If you're watching the flakes fall outside while curled up with a blanket and no place to be, it's kind of beautiful.

Now that the roads are plowed, but the temp outside is still below freezing, you can find some warmth here at the Bakehouse. We're baking up warm loaves of fresh bread and making our own steamy soups from scratch. They're sure to warm your hands, your tummy and your taste buds.

On Monday we have our new potato leek soup, that would be great with Rustic Italian bread (January bread of the month). Or enjoy a traditional Hungarian meal on Wednesday with our gulyás, a hearty beef and vegetable soup, and pogácsa, rich Hungarian rolls. Thursdays you'll find one of our best sellers, urfa turkey chili, that would be great with a chewy tangy loaf of our Better than San Francisco Sourdough bread.
